NATIONAL SEMINAR ON  “TRENDS IN EMERGING NANOBIOTECHNOLOGY: CURRENT APPLICATIONS AND FUTURE PROSPECTS (TENB 2024)”  ON JULY 15, 2024, AT TLN SABHA HALL, ANDHRA UNIVERSITY SOUTH CAMPUS, VISAKHAPATNAM.

Project Associate at MNR FRI, Ms. KVS Ratnam attended the “National Seminar on Trends in Emerging Nanobiotechnology: Current Applications and Future Prospects (TENB 2024)” on July 15, 2024, at TLN Sabha Hall, Andhra University South Campus, Visakhapatnam. The event featured a keynote lecture by Dr. Chittaranjan Patra, a Senior Principal Scientist from IICT-CSIR, Hyderabad, who spoke on "Nanomedicine for Future Therapy: Recent Developments and Challenges." His lecture covered the fundamentals of nanotechnology, including nanoparticle synthesis through biological, physical, and chemical methods, as well as the application of nanoparticles in drug delivery systems for cancer treatment. Other notable talks included a lecture on 3D bioprinting by Dr. V. Subrahmanyam, CEO of ReGene Biosciences, and an insightful session on the importance of intellectual property rights by Professor H. Purushottam. Also, posters displayed by students provided deeper insights into the latest advancements in the field.





LAB PRESENTATIONS BY RESEARCH SCHOLARS AT MNR FRI - JUNE 29, 2024

Lab paper presentations play an important role in the field of research and academia. They are energetic components that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the development of innovative solutions in various disciplines.

Research scholars at MNR FRI working on 2 different Govt. funded projects gave their presentation on the scientific progress and how they contribute to the overall growth. We discussed the progress made so far and also how to explore more opportunities.

Ms. Prajna Arpita Jena on the topic “Remodeling Technology Integrated Validation of Ayurveda Jihva: Corroborating Saam Jihva Pariksha to Multiple Biomarker Detection Using Point of care Paper- based Device”.

WORKSHOP on “FUNDAMENTALS OF AFFORDABLE POINT-OF-CARE TESTING (POCT) ” ON 4TH APRIL 2024

Successfully conducted a DST-SERB funded Workshop on “Fundamentals of Affordable Point of Care Testing (POCT)” on 4th April 2024. Very Enlightening session by Dr. Amit Asthana, Associate Professor and Head of the Dept of Medical Devices, Registrar (I/c) NIPER - Hyderabad, Telangana. Faculties, Scientists from different organizations attended the workshop Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, JNTU Hyderabad, MNR Medical College and Hospital, MNR Dental College and Hospital, MNR College of Nursing, MNR College of Engineering and Technology, MNR College of Physiotherapy, MNR Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, MNR Degree and PG college, Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation, UrvogelBio Private Limited, BabyCue Private Limited.

During the event we discussed the making of paper devices, choices of paper, fabrication methods and optimization of parameters. Other topics discussed were Nanoparticles in diagnostics, paper - based Blood typing devices and agarose gel electrophoresis.
