WORKSHOP on “FUNDAMENTALS OF AFFORDABLE POINT-OF-CARE TESTING (POCT) ” ON 4TH APRIL 2024

Successfully conducted a DST-SERB funded Workshop on “Fundamentals of Affordable Point of Care Testing (POCT)” on 4th April 2024. Very Enlightening session by Dr. Amit Asthana, Associate Professor and Head of the Dept of Medical Devices, Registrar (I/c) NIPER - Hyderabad, Telangana. Faculties, Scientists from different organizations attended the workshop Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, JNTU Hyderabad, MNR Medical College and Hospital, MNR Dental College and Hospital, MNR College of Nursing, MNR College of Engineering and Technology, MNR College of Physiotherapy, MNR Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, MNR Degree and PG college, Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation, UrvogelBio Private Limited, BabyCue Private Limited.

During the event we discussed the making of paper devices, choices of paper, fabrication methods and optimization of parameters. Other topics discussed were Nanoparticles in diagnostics, paper - based Blood typing devices and agarose gel electrophoresis.

Ms. Prajna Arpita Jena (Project Assistant, under Dr. Shahila Parween, Sr. Research Scientist) MNR Foundation for Research & Innovations for securing first prize in the 3D model designing competition conducted on "HIGH END WORKSHOP AND HANDS ON TRAINING ON 3D PRINTING" held at Department of Medical Devices NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (NIPER), Govt. of India, HYDERABAD on 27"- 29" February 2024.
